<xShadow-Linkx>-Sneaking around in the shadow world's castle with a dagger tucked in his belt. Tonight was going to be the night her rule will end like it should have the other times people have attempted and failed this assassination.-

<Dezral>The princess herself wasn't exactly in slumber. Her hands were turning deftly through the pages of an ancient tome, her crimson eyes flittering quickly over the paper before herself. It had to be here...somewhere. Where? Where was it? Where was the spell that would summon them? That would immortalize her? It had to be here. The papers all pointed to this book.

<xShadow-Linkx>He heard the faint sounds of pages being turned as he got closer to the room that shadow princess could be found most often. A sharp toothed smile crept up onto his face. Everything was falling into place. Shadow carefully got the old dagger out of his belt as he crept closer. Once the timing was right he would go for the kill.

<Dezral>It wasn't there. With a frustrated growl she turned and threw the book at the wall--where it landed and fluttered down with a thud. It was there, under the moonlight...that she noticed something...odd. Pausing, the princess of Shadows makes her way back over, lightly tracing crimson-tinted fingertips along the words. Oh! Oh of COURSE! Yes--yes! There it was! The ritual! A smile parted her onyx lips.

<xShadow-Linkx>This was the moment he was waiting for. Shadow turned the corner and went for the lunge at her.

<Dezral>There was a momentary laugh of glee before it melted into a shriek of surprise. What--an assassin! She allowed him the hit, but only so she could grab the dagger beneath her skirts and pull it up to his neck. What--who?! In her cast--Her thoughts stopped short and for a moment, a look of betrayal crosses the girl's face. She whispers, softly, in shock, "L-Link?"

<xShadow-Linkx>That moment of pride that he got a hit soon became shock and anger as the princess managed to get the dagger against his neck. "Hello Zelda. Surprised ta see me?" He slightly hissed . Ohhhhh he just used your true name.

<Dezral>"Wh-what are you DOING? Release me at once! You--you tried to--" The shock subsides into anger and her expression contorts, pressing the dagger firmly against his neck. "YOU TRAITOR! Treason! You--I'll make you suffer for this! H-how dare you!" She would be lying if she said she wasn't hurt, shocked, and angry. Her eyes welled up with tears but the ferocity of her glare kept them still.

<xShadow-Linkx>"Doing what many others before me have tried and failed." Managed to wheeze out as the blade was pressed more into his neck. "Heh I've been a traitor for years remembember? Only thing I had left for redemption was your 'pretty' little head. Since you know...how much the other shadow beings want you dethroned." He smirked as he said that.

<Dezral>"And I suppose now you're not afraid to be among the ranks of failures," She snarls as she reaches for a loose floorboard, "I suppose if that many are clamoring for my throne...then I'll need an example. GUARDS! TREASON! TRAITOR!" She screams without warning, two burly shadows with heavy armor rushing into her room and prying the child off the princess. She stands then, flicking strands of white hair from her face, her crimson eyes blazing with hatred. "Do you know what sort of punishments a princess can dish out? Poison, limb detachment, beheading, painful regeneration...though...this is personal. Since you crave the light so much..." Her hands deftly take up a poison glowing, pulsating with golden light, "I'll give you a little taste."

<xShadow-Linkx>He didn't care for the words she spoke. He was told when younger when the time came for any mission he did, knight or being the bringer of death it would be a do or die mission till one succeeded. To bad for her he was cursed with eternal life because of that stupid mirror. Soon the guards came barging right in and pulling him away and pining him down so he couldn't attack. Shadow just let out a few grunts as he struggled and soon stopped as it was pointless. "Good luck making me an example." He spat. His ears soon droop when a glowing vial was taken out.....how did she get that stuff....and how was she managing to handle it as if it was nothing? ".....you...wouldn't...."

<Dezral>"Open his mouth." She orders one of the guards coldly, and they wordlessly do as they're told. She approaches with an insane smile, tracing her sharp nails along the curve of his jawline. "You really should learn not to cross a madwoman," She murmurs to him and only him, before stepping back to uncork the vial. It opens with a soft hiss and a low glimmer, as she holds the bottle out and slowly, ever so slowly, drops exactly three drops of the searing, burning light onto his tongue.

<xShadow-Linkx>Shadow let out a high pierced screech as the drops hit and seared tongue. All he could do from the extreme amount of pain was struggle and claw at the ground in severe pain.

<Dezral>"Keep him still!" She snarled at the guards, who did their best. She wasn't done with him yet, oh no. "You who doubt me--all of you
who try to murder me--This shall be a signal to them. To all of them." The princess hisses, mostly to herself. Two more drops and he'll be stricken with Light Poison, which will cause a slow, agonizing, burning death if not taken away by a princess of Light...She understands how easy the antidote would be to find, but logic has long left the girl's thoughts. Two more drops from the vial drop deftly onto Shadow's tongue before she corks the bottle. "Throw him out. Cast him out! His face--it is no longer welcome here! Traitor, escape with what little life I have left you!"

<xShadow-Linkx>The last two drops were enough to sear through a small tip of his tongue. A louder hiss and scream like mix came out of his mouth. The servants clearly will be telling many of this later on. Their once dignified 'knight' turned traitor was now branded as a true traitor for his failure of assassination. Now thrown out of the palace, Shadow was still gagging and struggling to move from the dangerous amounts of light was in him. He needed to escape the Shadow Realm for now and recuperate from the poison coursing through him. Thankfully an active moongate wasn't far from the dark palace...and well near Hyrule Castle. Much as he was threat there it was his only place of safety for now. And he can only hope that someone that can cure him found him or suffer with a revival from the mirror.
dont enrage a shadow princess.
